The Barnaby B. Busterfield III Memorial Public Library is the home of the lion family. It was founded by the great businessman and writer Barnaby B. Busterfield III in 1892, 108 years before the Between the Lions television show debuted.

  • Seasons 1-4 were filmed at Kaufman Astoria Studios in Astoria, Queens, New York, where Sesame Street is filmed.
  • Seasons 5-10 were filmed at Mississippi Public Broadcasting Studios in Jackson, Mississippi.
  • In Episode 42: Oh, Yes, It Can!, when the lion family imagine the library talking, it is performed by Tim Lagasse.
